Jonathan Drouin (wrist) will miss the remainder of the regular season.
Drouin underwent surgery to repair torn ligaments in his right wrist on Friday. While he should be good to go for training camp in the fall, the 27-year-old forward will sit out the remainder of the 2021-22 campaign. He wraps an injury-riddled season having registered six goals and 20 points across 34 games played.
Jonathan Drouin is out indefinitely because of an upper-body injury.
The Canadiens added on Friday that Drouin is still at home for precautionary reasons after coming into contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19. The upper-body injury may be the reason why he skipped Wednesday's practice for a therapy day. Drouin has been moved to injured reserve.
