Joakim Nordstrom has signed with CSKA Moscow of the KHL.
Nordstrom spent the 2020-21 season with the Calgary Flames. He provided one goal, six assists, 46 shots, 30 blocks and 92 hits in 44 appearances.
Joakim Nordstrom is poised to return to the lineup on Friday night from a lower-body injury.
Nordstrom hasn't played since March 6 and he hasn't picked up a point in 23 appearances this year. He has been credited with 18 shots, 17 blocks and 32 hits with the Flames. Nordstrom is projected to skate on the fourth line with Derek Ryan and Josh Leivo against Winnipeg.
The Calgary Flames won't dress Joakim Nordstrom (lower body) on Monday night against the Ottawa Senators.
Joining Nordstrom in the press box will be Alexander Petrovic. Nordstrom hasn't played since March 6 because of a lower-body injury.
