The deal is reportedly for two years with an AAV of $850,000. Rathbone spent most of the 2021-22 campaign in the minors with Abbotsford and he recorded 40 points (10 goals, 30 assists) in 39 AHL matches. Rathbone also skated in nine games for Vancouver, while posting 10 shots, eight blocks and five hits. 

This is the second consecutive game he'll watch from the press box and the third one in the last five. He has no points in nine games this season. 

Rathbone has no points in nine games with Vancouver in 2021-22. At the AHL level, he's scored eight goals and 33 points in 30 contests this season.

Rathbone will sit out of this matchup as a healthy scratch. Joining him in the press box is Justin Dowling. The Canucks are also missing Tucker Poolman, who is serving his suspension.
