Brassard has played in just one game for Edmonton during the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs. He suited up in Game 4 against Los Angeles during the opening round. This will be Brassard's sixth straight as a healthy scratch. 

Brassard has eight goals and 18 points in 41 games this season. Devin Shore and Josh Archibald will also watch from the press box. 

Brassard was on a line with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Jesse Puljujarvi during the morning skate. He was acquired from Philadelphia on Monday ahead of the trade deadline. Brassard has six goals, 16 points, 46 shots and 61 hits in 31 appearances this year. 

Brassard was acquired by Edmonton on Monday from the Flyers. He will not make his team debut with the Oilers just yet. Also not dressing for this contest is Brett Kulak.
