This was one of Hellebuyck's toughest seasons between the pipes as the Jets failed to make the playoffs after having lofty expectations attached to them. However he demonstrated that he's still a more than capable goaltender when he's on his game. Hellebuyck finished the campaign with a 29-27-10 record with a 2.97 goals-against average and .910 save percentage. 

Hellebuyck is coming off a 30-save performance in last Sunday's 4-1 win over Colorado. He has a 28-27-10 record this season with a 3.00 goals-against average and .910 save percentage in 65 previous starts. 

Hellebuyck was destroyed for seven goals by the Lightning last time out, but forgot about that one in short order. He was more than game for a net-minding duel on Sunday and that's exactly what he got matched up with Darcy Kuemper. Neither goalie allowed a goal until the third period. While Hellebuyck would succumb to the first blow -- a J.T. Compher goal to go down 1-0 on the scoreboard -- he quickly rebounded, while Winnipeg's offense finally got something going against Kuemper in what finished as a a nice down-the-stretch win by the Jets. Winnipeg will wrap the regular season with games upcoming this week against Philadelphia, Calgary and Seattle.

Hellebuyck has a tough assignment as the Jets take on the Colorado Avalanche, one of the top-two teams in the NHL. Hellebuyck is returning from a non-COVID illness and is 27-27-10 with a 3.03 GAA and a .909 save percentage in 64 starts this season.
