Stephenson had a hand in all of Vegas' goals scored in regulation (and thus, in the game, as the VGK failed to score in shootout play), dishing helpers on scores by Michael Amadio, Alec Martinez and Max Pacioretty over the first two periods of play. This season, Stephenson has put up 21 goals and 64 points across 78 games played. Wednesday's performance was his third three-assist effort for the 2021-22 campaign.

Stephenson scored a massive goal in the dying moments of the second period to give the Vegas Golden Knights a 2-1 lead. It seemed like Vegas was going to runaway with the game after such a dagger of a goal. However the Stars stormed back in the third and found an early equalizer. Stephenson has 21 goals and 61 points through 77 games. 

The Golden Knights attempted a late game push that started with a Stephenson goal at the 18:46 mark of the third period. Unfortunately for the Golden Knights and their playoff chances, this was too little, too late for them and they dropped two points to a non-playoff team. Stephenson has 18 goals and 40 assists through 74 games. 

Stephenson had a hand in goals by William Carrier and Jack Eichel (power play) in the contest. He has three helpers in the past two games after he didn't have a point in three matches before that. Stephenson has a personal best 45 points (14 goals, 31 assists) in 58 contests this campaign.
