This game was tight (Tampa was down 2-1) heading into the third period, but the Jackets were able to close the game out in the final frame. Elliott gave up goals to Roman Josi and Alexandre Carrier in the first and second periods, respectively, but otherwise did a fantastic job of keeping Nashville at bay on the evening. He had been dashed for four goals against the Jets in his last start, making Saturday's showing a nice rebound. Spotting next on the schedule for Tampa Bay, a big Sunday road showdown with the Florida Panthers.

Elliott is 10-3-3 this season with a 2.35 GAA and a .915 save percentage as he has given the Lightning everything they could have asked for in a backup for Andrei Vasilevskiy. The Lightning still have some hopes of catching the Maple Leafs for second place and home ice advantage in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs so Saturday's game is an important one.
