Coleman almost scored the game-winning goal. He knocked the puck past Oilers netminder Mike Smith, but the goal was overturned because it was judged to be a distinct kicking motion. “I didn’t feel that I kicked it,” Coleman said. “But can’t go back and change (the call) now.” He had two goals and five points in 12 contests during the Flames' playoff run.

Coleman's goals came early in the second period. At the time they propelled the Flames to a 5-1 lead, but the Oilers staged a comeback attempt to make the game interesting. Coleman has two goals and three points in eight postseason contests.

Coleman has found the back of the net in both of his last two games. He's up to 16 goals and 33 points in 75 contests in 2021-22.

Coleman scored the first goal of the game at the 2:58 mark of the opening frame. He also scored an insurance marker in the final frame with under eight minutes to go in the contest. Coleman also added an assist to his totals on Chris Tanev’s third goal (3-2) of the season in the second period. The 30-year-old finished the game with a plus-3 rating, three shots on goal, and three hits in 14:56 of ice time. Coleman has 10 goals and 18 points through 41 games this season.
