Barclay Goodrow confirmed that he suffered a fracture in his ankle bone during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Goodrow missed 11 games during the postseason with what was called a lower-body injury. There was some speculation at the time that he suffered a break to his ankle in Game 1 of the opening round against Pittsburgh. Goodrow returned for the end of Round 2 against Carolina and he played in all six games versus Tampa Bay during the Eastern Conference Final. He blocked a shot by Victor Hedman in that series that hit the same spot. "It didn't re-injure it, but it didn't feel good," said Goodrow on Monday. He doesn't expect to need offseason surgery.
Barclay Goodrow is in the lineup for Game 4 on Tuesday.
It's believed that Goodrow was hurt while blocking a shot in Game 3, but he stayed in the contest. He did skip Tuesday's optional skate for what that's worth. He has an assist in six playoff games this year.

"There’s always concerns, but tomorrow we’ll feel a lot better about it." It sounds like he will be available to play on Tuesday, but we will let you know if that changes.
