Anton Khudobin

Khudobin is expected to miss about six months, so he won't be available for the rest of the season or playoffs, but he should recover in time for the 2022-23 campaign. Whether or not he'll be part of the Stars' plans next season remains to be seen though. He's struggled this season with a 3-4-1 record, 3.63 GAA, and .879 save percentage in nine games. That said, he's traditionally been a solid goaltender and was a huge help for the Stars in 2019-20, so we wouldn't count him out.

Pierre LeBrun is "hearing" that the Dallas Stars will make an official medical update on Tuesday for Khudobin, who has been playing in the AHL. That could take backup netminder Braden Holtby off the table as a possible trade chip ahead of next week's trade deadline. 

Khudobin played well, just not well enough to come out victorious against Andrei Vasilevskiy in the opposite crease. The two goals to score on his watch came courtesy of Brayden Point and Ross Colton in the first and third periods, respectively. Colton's goal at the 10:37 mark put Dallas down 2-1 on the scoreboard. Khudobin entered the weekend the owner of a 3.86 GAA due mostly to lopsided losses against the Wild (seven goals allowed) and Canucks (five goals allowed). Starts like Saturday's -- even coming on the losing end -- are a step in the right direction  A Tuesday meeting with the Canadiens shows next on Dallas' schedule.

Khudobin He has a 3-3-1 record, 3.86 GAA, and .872 save percentage in eight contests this season. Khudobin spent time in the AHL before being called up on Jan. 12.
