Vasilevskiy was terrific but it was not enough as the Lightning fell to Colorado four games to two. Vasilevskiy ended the playoffs with a 14-9 mark as the Lightning's 11 series winning streak in Stanley Cup play came to an end.

Coach Jon Cooper said he anticipates having the same lineup as Friday's 3-2 victory over the Avalanche. Vasilevskiy stopped 35 shots in the contest to help the Lightning extend the series. He has a 14-8 record this postseason with a 2.54 GAA and .921 SV% in 22 previous starts. 

The Avalanche came back from two one-goal deficits in the contest, but the Lightning got the victory thanks to a late third-period goal by Ondrej Palat. The play of Vasilevskiy was also a big part of Tampa Bay's victory. He has a 4-0 record with a 1.75 GAA and .945 SV% when facing elimination in the Stanley Cup Playoffs since 2020. Vasilevskiy will look to continue that success in Game 6 on Sunday. 

Vasilevskiy is coming off a 3-2 overtime loss to the Avalanche on Wednesday when he stopped 34 shots. He has a 13-8 record this postseason with a 2.57 goals-against average and .920 save percentage. The Lightning need to win on Friday night to keep the team's dream of a three-peat alive.
