The Coyotes began to mount a bit of a comeback against the Hurricanes in the second period. Galchenyuk ripped a beautiful one-timer near the end of the frame to pull the Coyotes within a goal but that was as close as they'd get as Sebastian Aho scored the insurance marker in the final period. Galchenyuk has six goals and 17 points through 54 games. 

Galchenyuk came to play against his former team tonight and got the game started by taking advantage of a bad bounce from Petr Mrazek to open the scoring. Galchenyuk then set up Jakob Chychrun a couple of minutes later. The ‘Yotes then blew a 4-1 lead but Chychrun secured the two points in the extra frame. Galchenyuk now finds himself at five goals and 14 points in 37 games this season. Christian Fischer and Travis Boyd also scored in this one for the ‘Yotes.

Galchenyuk did not score in his first 23 games this season but now has four in his last five games. Galchenyuk has 10 points in 28 games and is starting to become a fantasy asset in the month of February with five points in five games.
