Mitchell was the 142nd overall pick in this year’s draft out of Northwestern after putting together two-straight collegiate seasons with PFF tackling grades of 83.0 and 87.7. The rookie appeared in eight games to start the season, starting one of them. In that time, he made nine tackles and had one pass defended. His return, when paired with the return of Browns’ starting cornerback Denzel Ward, should add depth to the Cleveland secondary for their playoff push.
