Eagles DT Jalen Carter (illness) was removed from the injury report and will play in Super Bowl LIX against the Chiefs.
Carter was added injury report with the illness earlier this week. Right tackle Lane Johnson later told reporters Carter was one of a handful of Philly players dealing with an illness. Carter was the only player on the injury report because of it and was only limited in one practice this week. He was a full-go for the other two sessions. Carter led Philly with a dozen TFLs during the regular season and added 4.5 sacks to his stat sheet.
Jalen Carter (illness) was a full participant in Thursday’s practice.
Carter wasn’t expected to miss much time with the illness that sidelined him on Wednesday. The fact he was upgraded to a full participant just a day later suggests whatever he is dealing with is behind him, meaning he should be good to go come Sunday. We’ll know his game status when the Eagles’ release the final injury report on Friday.
Jalen Carter (illness) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Carter is on track to play at this point though the Eagles would surely love for him to be feeling 100.0 percent healthy. Seeing him return to full practice participation by Friday would erase any lingering concerns. The dominant defensive lineman provides the Eagles’ with a game-changing skillset.
Eagles DT Jalen Carter (ankle) is questionable for Week 6 against the Jets.
Carter reported suffered a sprained ankle in practice earlier this week, putting his Week 6 status in jeopardy. The rookie first round pick has already established himself as a key contributor on the Eagles’ defense, leading the team in pressures (23), hurries (17) , and sacks (3.5). In addition to Carter, head coach Nick Sirianni said Darius Slay could also miss this week with a knee injury, although the team doesn’t “anticipate it being a long-term thing.”
