Rams re-signed RB Ronnie Rivers to a one-year contract.
Rivers joined the Rams as a UDFA in 2022 and has appeared in 34 games over the last three seasons. The former Fresno State Bulldog rushed 22 times for 99 scoreless yards last season, and has a career rushing line of 63-249-0. Rivers has also caught 15 passes for 85 scoreless yards, but is unlikely to have any fantasy upside while buried on the Rams’ depth chart.
Ronnie Rivers had 12 rushes for 49 yards in the Rams’ Week 18 loss against the Seahawks, adding four catches for 33 yards.
Rivers operated as the team’s lead back with Kyren Williams resting alongside other Rams starters and Blake Corum sidelined with a forearm injury he sustained in the first half. Rivers was third on the team in targets and had a nearly every-down role in the final two quarters. He won’t see postseason action unless Williams and Corum go down to injury.
Ronnie Rivers rushed six times for 26 yards in the Rams’ Week 4 loss to the Bears.
Rivers rotated into the backfield as the Rams’ No. 2 back in the second quarter of the team’s loss to the Bears. His best run went for 11 yards and he totaled 26 yards on six carries. Meanwhile, Blake Corum was not heard from at all this week. Rivers can be left on fantasy benches heading into Week 5 against the Packers.
Ronnie Rivers rushed two times for nine yards in the Rams’ Week 3 win over the 49ers.
Rivers remains the Rams’ No. 2 RB but his most impactful moment came via a fake punt in the first half where he successfully converted the first down. Rivers is just a bench stash heading to the Rams’ Week 4 matchup against the Bears.
