Falcons signed TE Teagan Quitoriano, formerly of the Texans, to a contract.
Quitoriano will settle into a backup role behind Kyle Pitts, Charlie Woerner and Feleipe Franks. The former Texan has dealt with knee, oblique, groin and calf issues in his short career but perhaps a change of scenery will be helpful. He did not earn any targets last year.
Texans placed TE Teagan Quitoriano on injured reserve with a knee injury.
Quitoriano, 24 appeared in seven games, but has not received a single target in 2024. Myles Bryant was promoted to the active roster in the corresponding move.
Texans signed TE Teagan Quitoriano off Chicago’s practice squad.
Houston let Quitoriano go at last cuts with an injury settlement, so now that he’s healthy it’s not a surprise to see the two sides link up again. He was a 2022 fifth-round pick for Houston and played 481 snaps his first two seasons. He’ll mostly be a blocking tight end for Houston.
Texans activated TE Teagan Quitoriano from physically unable to perform list.
The second-year tight end provided the Texans with six starts in his rookie season and returns to a once again crowded tight end room. He spent time on injured reserve to start the 2022 season and began camp on the physically unable to perform list. Quitoriano is currently listed second on the team’s depth chart but the Texans also added three able bodies through free agency in presumed starter Dalton Schultz, Eric Tomlinson and Nick Vannett. The tight end depth chart remains murky, at best, leaving this a situation to largely stay away from outside of Schultz.
