2024 Player Outlook
After Stefon Diggs was traded, the Vikings took Justin Jefferson late in the first round of the NFL Draft. And he took over that role and broke out in a big way. There was hope that something similar could happen after the Titans traded AJ Brown and drafted Treylon Burks in the first round. But, after two injury-riddled years dotted with sporadic production, the Titans have loaded up with other weapons. Burks flashed some ability at times but, with Calvin Ridley, DeAndre Hopkins, and Tyler Boyd in town, he's likely the fourth option in this Titans offense at best. Burks is still only 24 so there is a chance he has a late breakout at some point but, historically speaking, that doesn't happen often. In a typical redraft league, he's best left on waivers and maybe added if someone gets hurt.

Titans coach Brian Callahan said Treylon Burks (knee) will return “closer to the regular season.”
Burks tore his ACL in Week 6, so this should leave him a as a PUP candidate in 2025. In theory Burks figures to be as good a bet as any of several UDFA and low-level signings on Tennessee’s roster behind Calvin Ridley. In actuality, Burks has done nothing with his opportunities and this injury has made it hard for him to impress coaches in camp. It wouldn’t be a surprise if he didn’t make the roster at final cuts.
Titans head coach Brian Callahan told reporters that Treylon Burks (knee) is unlikely to participate in offseason workouts and might not be ready for training camp.
Burks underwent surgery last October to repair a partial ACL tear that he suffered during a Week 7 practice and has a long road ahead in his recovery. The 2022 first-round pick has not lived up to expectations and is scheduled to enter free agency after the 2025 season. This is an unfortunate start to Burks’ contract year.
Treylon Burks underwent ACL surgery and will miss the remainder of the 2024 season.
Burks went down with the knee issue in Week 6. Per head coach Brian Callahan, the injury is less significant than a full tear. The former first-round pick underwent surgery a few weeks ago. Burks will close out his third NFL season on injured reserve. He has yet to stay healthy for more than 11 games and peaked as a rookie with 444 receiving yards. Burks has one year left on his rookie contract. The Titans will likely try to find a trade partner for Burks in the offseason as he simply hasn’t been able to put it together in Tennessee.
Titans placed WR Treylon Burks (knee) on injured reserve.
Burks had been splitting time to DeAndre Hopkins through the season’s first six weeks, potentially paving the way for Hopkins to increase his route participation rate. That is, as long as his knee cooperates. Burks will now miss the next four games, at minimum, after injuring his knee in the team’s Week 6 loss to the Colts.
