Monday (6'2"/207) finished with 45 tackles, six passes defended, and one interception while earning second-team All-SEC honors in 2021. His testing numbers weren’t off the charts, but he put some good grades including a 4.52 40, although a 30-inch vertical was disappointing. He plays with a ton of energy, never takes a play off, and is always looking to make an impact. Sometimes wanting to make the big plays hurts more than helps as he’ll commit too early on the tackle and will get the slash from the ball carrier. He excels in zone coverage as he reads a quarterback’s progression and can undercut the throw, and with three pick-sixes in his career, his instincts are incredible. Man coverage is where he struggles as he doesn’t move his hips with fluidity, and allows the receiver to gain separation on the first cut. Coaches will love his resilience and passion, which could give him a chance to get on the field in zone-heavy schemes.
