Kolby Harvell-Peel

Harvell-Peel (6’0/213) finished with 70 tackles, three interceptions, and was voted to the First Team All-Big 12 for the second time in his career in 2021. His ten career interceptions were fifth amongst active players at the end of the 2021 season. He plays with heart and hustle, but he lacks a lot of skills that will make the transition to the NFL very difficult. He is heavy-footed and lacks the fluidity in his hips when changing direction. While he’s much better running downhill to help stop the run, sometimes he reacts a little late. He plays well in the high post when he’s running downhill and has the ability to undercut passes in the middle of the field or square up to make plays on deeper passes. With 24 career passes defended and 10 interceptions, he has the instincts to make the big play. While he has the resume and accolades, his weaknesses will make it difficult.
