Bears re-signed LB Amen Ogbongbemiga to a two-year $5 million contract.
A four-year vet with 64 games of experience, Ogbongbemiga totaled 13 tackles and one sack in 17 games for the Bears last season, with 366 of his 381 snaps coming on special teams. The former UDFA is now under contract through the 2026 season and will likely play a role similar to what we saw in 2024.
Bears agreed to terms with LB Amen Ogbongbemiga, formerly of the Chargers, on a one-year, $2.1 million contract.
Per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the deal includes $1.1 million guaranteed and is worth up to $2.5 million. That’s a great deal for a special teamer. Ogbongbemiga has only taken the field for 19 defensive snaps over the past two years but has logged 672 special teams snaps in that span. He contributed four tackles but recovered two fumbles in 2023.
