Giants waived RB Antonio Williams.
Williams had just two snaps on offense this season and hadn't touched the ball since the 2020 finale, where he rushed for two touchdowns. Williams had played 44 snaps for the Giants on special teams this year and could find work elsewhere. His release doesn't change much about the state of the depth chart.
Bills declared RB Antonio Williams, QB Jake Fromm, TE Tyler Kroft, OL Jordan Devey, DE Darryl Johnson, LB Tyrel Dodson, and CB Dane Jackson inactive for the Divisional Round against the Ravens.
There was a chance Williams was active in place of Zack Moss, but that role will instead fall to T.J. Yeldon behind Devin Singletary. The latter is expected to handle the lion's share of however many touches OC Brian Daboll designates to his backfield.
Bills RB Antonio Williams rushed 12 times for 63 yards and two touchdowns in the Bills' Week 17 win over the Dolphins, adding a 20-yard reception.
Yes, this might be the most random name in Week 17 to play meaningful snaps and produce at a high level. The practice squad-er entered in the second half and diced up the Dolphins defense, allowing the Bills to keep starters on the sideline. He's unlikely to see the field in the playoffs unless Zack Moss or Devin Singletary go down.
