Bears signed seventh-round OT Lachavious Simmons to a four-year contract.
Simmons (6'5/315) was an off-board pick out of the Ohio Valley Conference. In addition to the daunting competition leap, Simmons will also be old for a rookie, turning 24 in September. The Bears pursued a hunch and will figure out whether it pays off with practice squad progression and camp reps.
