Thomas had foot surgery this week and will miss the remainder of the 2024 season. It’s quite the setback for the Giants, as whose pass-blocking is graded by Pro Football Focus as the 15th best in the NFL through Week 6. Thomas in the offseason signed a five-year, $117.5 million deal and was meant to be the anchor of New York’s offensive line.

New York Post’s Paul Schwartz reports Giants OT Andrew Thomas (foot) will miss significant time.

Thomas underwent an MRI after the Giants’ Week 6 loss to the Bengals to check on his foot injury. Schwartz reports that Thomas will miss time with the injury and “the fear is it could be a Lisfranc injury.” If it indeed is a Lisfranc, Thomas’ season would be in jeopardy. The Giants’ offensive line will suffer without Thomas, who was expected to be a franchise cornerstone for the team after signing a five-year, $117.5 million deal during the 2023 offseason.

Giants LT Andrew Thomas said he would have an MRI on his foot after Sunday’s Week 6 loss to the Bengals.

Thomas said his foot was “not great” after the game, so we’ll see what the MRI reveals later in the coming days. Thomas has been a solid presence along an offensive line that is currently graded as PFF’s 14th-best pass-blocking unit. He’s allowed four sacks on 16 pressures while earning a pass-blocking grade of 71.8. If he’s unable to go in Week 7 against the Eagles, Jermaine Eluemunor would likely slide over to the left side while Evan Neal mans the right side of the line.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports Giants LT Andrew Thomas (knee) is expected to play in Week 11 against the Commanders.

Thomas was listed as questionable on Friday after being in limited in practice throughout the week. Right tackle Evan Neal remains out. Getting Thomas back is a win for the Giants’ offense, though it likely won’t make much of a difference with Tommy DeVito under center. The New York passing attack remains a fade even against the Commanders’ porous defense.
