Raymond Calais

The Rams also waived UDFA safety Paris Ford. Calais suffered a fracture in his foot during the team's second preseason game. He's expected to be out 4-6 months so the team reached an injury settlement with him. Calais was primarily used on special teams when active but could have served as a depth option at running back with how thin the Rams' are at that position. Xavier Jones, Jake Funk, and Otis Anderson are the remaining backups to Darrell Henderson.

Calais made four appearances as a rookie kick returner last year. It's likely a season ending injury for Calais, who went down in the second preseason game. The Rams would need to carry Calais on their opening day roster for him to return this year.
