Bengals released TE Devin Asiasi.
Asiasi was claimed off waivers by the Bengals last August and caught two passes for five yards. The former third-round pick has done little to impress since being drafted by the Patriots in 2020 and will now be looking for a new team in the coming days. Asiasi has caught four passes in 22 career games, and is a non-factor in the receiving game.

A third-round pick in 2020, Asiasi never made an impact with the Pats, catching just two passes in two seasons. The Bengals do not have the strongest tight end, group, however, so perhaps Asiasi can carve out a role even if O.J. Howard signs with the team, as is expected. Cincinnati also picked up OG Max Scharping and DT Jay Tufele off waivers.

Asiasi was the 91st overall pick at the bottom of the third round in 2020. The undersized (6'3/257) UCLA product never made an impact in New England, catching a gran total of two passes for 39 yards and one touchdown for the Patriots. Heck of an investment.
