Lions CB Amik Robertson suffered an elbow injury in the Divisional Round against the Commanders and will not return.
Lions linebacker Jack Campbell collided with Robertson while the two were making a tackle, pinning Roberterson’s arm into the ball carrier. Robertson went down in immediate pain and stayed on the field for a while before walking off with trainers. He was taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. It’s yes another devastating blow to a Detroit defense that cannot catch a break with injuries this season.
Lions and CB Amik Robertson, formerly of the Raiders, agreed to a two-year, $9.25 million contract.
Robertson was the Raiders’ fourth-round pick in 2020 and is versatile enough to play outside and in the slot. The veteran corner started a career-high 12 games last season, totaling 50 tackles, two TFLs, and two interceptions while breaking up six passes. Robertson and recently acquired corner Carlton Davis now join a Lions secondary that ranked 23rd in points allowed and 27th in passing yards allowed.
