Cardinals signed DT Kevin Strong to a one-year contract.
Going on 27, Strong played a career high 305 snaps for the Titans last season. He's an adequate back-up option as a two-down thumper.
The Lions placed Strong (ribs) on injured reserve Tuesday.
Strong suffered a rib injury during this past Sunday's loss to the Bears, and the issue is severe enough to shut down the undrafted rookie for the season. The defensive tackle suited up in eight games this year, recording five tackles (three solo) and a pass breakup.
Strong (ribs) suffered a rib injury and won't return to Sunday's game against the Bears, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Strong has served in a respectable role for the Lions this season, but he didn't record a tackle before leaving Week 10's contest. He'll look to shake off this injury before Week 11's matchup against the Cowboys.
