Alex Brown
Player News
Brown notched two solo tackles across three regular-season games in 2019.
Brown earned a bump from the practice squad to the active roster Week 14, operating as a reserve cornerback and special-teams contributor for Kansas City to close out the regular season and throughout the postseason. He'll spend the offseason competing to keep his grip on a depth role for 2020.
Brown was promoted to the Kansas City active roster Thursday morning.
Brown had opportunities with the 49ers and Jets this offseason before eventually catching on with the Kansas City practice squad. He'll take the roster spot of running back Darrel Williams (hamstring), who was placed on the injured reserve in a corresponding move.
The Jets claimed Brown off waivers Monday.
Brown previously spent time with the 49ers this offseason, and will now work to make the most of his chance in New York. The South Carolina State product would likely need to make an impact on special teams for a chance to crack the 53-man roster.
