Falcons signed WR Penny Hart, formerly of the Seahawks.
Hart entered the league as a UDFA with the Colts in 2019. He was waived before the start of the season and then joined Seattle's practice squad. Hart bounced between being waived, re-joining the Seahawks' practice squad, and getting called up to the active roster over the next three years. He now has 11 career receptions for 82 yards. Hart will need to find a role on special teams to stick with the Falcons' roster.
Seahawks declared WR Penny Hart, CB Artie Burns, CB Xavier Crawford, LB Joshua Onujiogu, LB Vi Jones, G Phil Haynes, and RB Tony Jones Jr. inactive for the Wild Card round against the 49ers.
With Hart out and Marquise Goodwin on injured reserve, Cade Johnson is in line to serve as the team's No. 3 wideout. In Week 18 against the Jets, Johnson caught both of his targets for 21 yards while running a route on 45 percent of Geno Smith's drop backs.
Seahawks declared WR Penny Hart, CB Artie Burns, RB Tony Jones, S Teez Tabor, DE Myles Adams, and OG Jake Curhan inactive for Week 12 against the Raiders.
Despite missing Dee Eskridge because of a hand injury, the Seahawks are keeping Hart on the sidelines. Marquise Goodwin will take the field on three-receiver sets.
Seahawks re-signed WR Penny Hart.
Hart, an exclusive rights free agent, will return on a one-year deal for the league minimum. The 25-year-old appeared in 17 games for Seattle last year, playing 45% of snaps on special teams.
