Amadi was initially drafted by the Seahawks in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. After three seasons in Seattle, Amadi spent 2022 with the Chiefs and Titans before joining the Saints for 2023, where he primarily played special teams. He now re-signs for 2024, reinforcing depth behind Tyrann Mathieu.

The two teams are swapping 2024 late-round picks. Amadi spends a total of 10 days in Philly after coming over from the Seahawks in the trade for JJ Arcega-Whiteside. He'll now head to Tennessee and compete for a roster spot over the next five days ahead of final cuts.

Amadi and JJAW were both 2019 draft picks and were on the outside looking in at roster spots for their respective clubs. Amadi has appeared in 47 games in three seasons for Seattle, making 12 starts. He can function at slot corner and safety and will look to win a roster spot in Philly over the next couple weeks before Week 1.

Seahawks S Jamal Adams (questionable) only managed to get in a limited practice this week and top CB Shaq Griffin is out. The Seattle defense is extremely thin in the secondary and at edge rusher right now, setting up the 49ers for a plus matchup while likely chasing points.
