Elliott Fry

The Broncos made the surprising move to part ways with Brandon McManus last week. McManus was a franchise staple since joining Denver in 2014 but struggled in 2022. With a new regime led by Sean Payton in town, the Broncos chose to release him. Fry only has three NFL appearances to his name and was cut by the Jags with an injury settlement during training camp last year. Denver will likely look to add completion for Fry at some point this summer.

Fry was waived with an injury designation earlier in the week. He then reverted to Jacksonville's injury reserve, allowing him to be released with a settlement. Details of the injury were not disclosed. Fry can now sign with another team, though he may have to wait for his next opportunity. 

The team released kicker Andrew Mevis in a corresponding move. Fry opened the 2021 season on Atlanta's practice squad before finding his way to the Chiefs, Packers, and Bengals over a three-week stretch at the end of the season. He was only active for two games, split between the Chiefs and Bengals. With fellow journeyman kicker Ryan Santoso as his only competition in Jacksonville, Fry has a strong shot at landing a starting gig this year.

That leaves Younghoe Koo, everyone's favorite fantasy kicker, as the only kicker on Atlanta's roster. Fry played one game for the Falcons and spent the entire 2020 season on the team's practice squad.
