Titans signed QB Tim Boyle, formerly of the Giants.

Boyle began the 2024 season on Miami’s practice squad but was quickly called into action after a slew of quarterback injuries hit the team. He didn’t make any starts but did attempt 26 passes, which he turned into 153 yards before being released. The Giants then found themselves in a similar situation and signed Boyle. He completed 12-of-24 passes for 123 yards, one touchdown, and one pick. With five career touchdowns to 13 interceptions, it’s baffling to see teams still giving Boyle chances, even as a deep backup. Needless to say, Boyle’s agent deserves a raise.

Giants declared RB Dante Miller, CB Greg Stroman, CB Dee Williams, LB Micah McFadden, C John Michael Schmitz, OT Evan Neal, and QB Tim Boyle inactive for Week 18 against the Eagles.

The Giants are at “full strength” entering their season-finale against the Eagles and will face a plethora of Philly’s backups. Rookie Malik Nabers is sitting on 104 receptions for the season and is hoping to finish the year with the rookie receptions record that is currently held by Raiders tight end Brock Bowers (108), who will play later in the day. Outside of that, there is little for this team to play for in Week 18.

Giants head coach Brian Daboll said he hasn’t decided on a starting QB for Week 16 against the Falcons.

Does it matter? Tim Boyle came on in relief of Tommy DeVito in Sunday’s loss to the Ravens, throwing for 123 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in relief of DeVito, with Daboll praising him for being “decisive with the football” in his first outing of the season with Big Blue. Boyle starting bears more weight on the Giants offensive playmakers than anything else, as he could severely limit the upside of Malik Nabers, who has struggled to find good quarterback play all season.

Tim Boyle completed 12-of-24 attempts for 123 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Giants’ Week 15 loss against the Ravens.

Boyle performed admirably in the second half after Tommy DeVito exited the game with a head injury. Boyle targeted Malik Nabers time and time again, connecting with the Giants WR1 for a touchdown in the fourth quarter of the lopsided loss. Boyle could be an upgrade for Nabers and Wan’Dale Robinson over DeVito and Drew Lock — who’s dealing with a heel injury — if he gets the starting nod next week against Atlanta.
