Cowboys signed RB Ryan Nall, formerly of the Bears.
The Cowboys' official site called Nall a fullback when announcing the signing, so that is likely where Dallas plans to use him if he makes the roster. Regardless of his position designation on offense, special teams will be where Nall makes a push for the roster.
Bears declared RB Ryan Nall, DB Duke Shelley, G/T Elijah Wilkinson, OG Lachavious Simmons, and DT Akiem Hicks inactive for Week 18 against the Vikings.
Hicks was already ruled out with an ankle injury. Nall, the Bears' last-string running back, carried the ball one time for four yards and caught a four-yard pass across 19 snaps this season.
Bears released RB Ryan Nall.
Nall was called up from the practice squad mid-2020 to form a committee with Artavis Pierce and Cordarrelle Patterson — the extent of the former's career highlights — for David Montgomery. With 13 career touches and vast special teams experience as a blocker, Nall still has a tremendous chance to land on a practice squad ahead of Week 1.
Bears re-signed RB Ryan Nall.
An exclusive rights free agent, Nall's choices were accept the Bears' offer or retire. A 2018 UDFA, Nall is a special teamer with 13 career touches, 11 of which came in 2020. He turned 25 in December.
