Cardinals waived OT Desmond Harrison.
This development is no shock, although Pelicans' general manager Danny Ferry made the news official Thursday evening. In an effort to properly evaluate the talent currently on the team (and to prevent injury that could hurt his trade value), New Orleans will limit it's superstar's playing time during the second half of the 2018-2019 campaign. Davis isn't the only one who will see his minutes decline, as teammate Jrue Holiday will also receive a reduction in his playing time going forward.
Harrison is facing charges of assault on a person by strangulation and assault on a female by a male in Greensboro, North Carolina. Police have issued a warrant for Harrison's arrest. Harrison started eight games for the Browns last year but was cut last month when he was late to minicamp. The Cardinals, along with a couple other teams, placed waiver claims on Harrison. He'll likely pass through waivers this time around with the off-field issue hanging over his head.

The Cardinals cut Harrison on Thursday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Arizona's decision to release Harrison comes less than an hour after a report surfaced that the offensive tackle is facing a pair of assault charges. The Cardinals claimed Harrison off waivers in June after he was cut loose by Cleveland. He started eight games at left tackle for the Browns last season.
Harrison was claimed off waivers by Arizona on Thursday.
Harrison was waived by Cleveland on Wednesday and now finds another team barely 24 hours later. The Browns' move was fairly surprising, as the 25-year-old started in eight games at left tackle in 2018 -- head coach Freddie Kitchens cited attitude issues as the reason for letting Harrison go. Harrison could also figure to slot into a starting role in the desert, given his experience and clear talent in the trenches.
