Adams appeared in all 17 games last year, one of which was credited as a start. While he can occasionally pitch in on defense, Adams’ specialty is special teams. He led the league with 435 special teams snaps. Adams also logged 10 tackles on special teams plus a handful more on defense. He will be locked into a high-volume role on special teams for the Giants.

It's Depth Linebacker Signing Tuesday. Following former Colts DC Matt Eberflus to Chicago, Adams started three games and played 188 defensive snaps for the Bears last season. Adams figures to be front seven depth and a willing special teamer for the Browns. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Jacob Phillips, and Sione Takitaki are the starters for the Browns at the moment.

Adams has spent the last four seasons with the Colts as a member of their defense and special teams unit. Now with the Bears, Adams is reunited with head coach Matt Eberflus, who was the Colts' defensive coordinator from 2018 to 2021. Adams has seen little action on defense, and will likely be asked to serve on special teams heading into 2022.

It comes a day before the Colts play the Titans. The Colts also had a staff member test positive last week. Thursday night's game remains on as scheduled.
