Eagles waived WR Deon Cain.
Cain had a good enough preseason with eight catches for 106 yards that he might push for a roster spot. The former sixth-round pick of the Colts might garner some interest on waivers.
Ravens released WR Deon Cain with an injury settlement
Cain reverted to IR after a concussion in last week's preseason finale. Even with Rashod Bateman (core muscle surgery, IR) out the first three weeks, he was always a longshot to make the Ravens. The 25-year-old will look to resurface on another team's practice squad.
Cain was not targeted in Sunday's 28-10 loss to the Ravens.
Selected by Indianapolis in the sixth round of the 2018 draft Cain saw his first game action this season and finished 2019 catching five of six targets for 72 yards. With one year remaining on his contract Cain likely returns in 2020 but should primarily be utilized on special teams.
Cain caught his only target for 22 yards in Pittsburgh's 23-17 win over Arizona on Sunday.
Since joining Pittsburgh last month, Cain has caught exactly one pass in each of the three games in which he has played. There is little reason to expect his volume to increase in Week 15 against the Bills and even less reason he should be rostered by fantasy owners.
