Falcons DL Kentavius Street (shoulder) is out for the rest of Week 14 against the Buccaneers.
Street left in the third quarter against the Buccaneers with an apparent shoulder injury. The Falcons’ defensive line was already banged up, but now loses Street for the game as well. The injuries are piling up in the trenches for the Falcons with multiple offensive and defensive lineman missing Week 14.
Falcons acquired Kentavius Street and a 2025 seventh-round pick from the Eagles in exchange for a conditional 2024 sixth-round pick.
The Falcons lost Grady Jarrett to a torn ACL and will now look to replace him — at least to some degree — with Street. This may not be the last move the Falcons make before the trade deadline, as they’ve also been rumored to be in on Commanders EDGE rusher Montez Sweat. Street has played in eight games for the Eagles this season, totaling two tackles on the year. He tallied a career-high 3.5 sacks in 2022 with the Saints and should be a serviceable pass rusher alongside Calais Campbell. The conditional sixth-round pick is contingent on Street playing at least six games for the Falcons.
Eagles signed DL Kentavius Street, formerly of the Saints, to a one-year contract.
Street started out with the 49ers before becoming a Saint last offseason. He's played in all 17 games in each of the last two years for the 49ers and Saints, adding 6.5 sacks as a rotational lineman. Street should be part of the plan to replace Javon Hargrave for the Eagles.
Saints signed DT Kentavius Street.
Street was a restricted free agent not tendered an offer by the 49ers. Although in theory he offers some pass-rushing upside, Street was too frequently washed out in San Francisco. He earned poor marks across the board from Pro Football Focus. Turning 26 in May, Street will be working with a strong defensive coach in Dennis Allen. The Saints' aggressive scheme could put him in advantageous pass-rushing spots.
