The team also signed WR Dennis Houston, OT Alex Taylor, C Alec Lindstrom, OL Brock Hoffman, S Juanyeh Thomas, S Tyler Coyle, WR Dontario Drummond, and CB Sheldrick Redwine to reserve/future deals. Callaway was signed to the Cowboys' practice squad in November but never got called up to the active roster. He will be a long-shot to make the team's final roster in the summer.

A 2018 fourth-round draft pick by the Browns, Callaway, 25, has bounced around the league in recent seasons. In 2020, he served a lengthy suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Callaway in 2020 played four games for the Dolphins, catching two of four targets for 20 yards. His speed and explosiveness will continue to land his chances to revive his NFL career. 

Even without both DeVante Parker and Jakeem Grant on Sunday, Callaway didn't play a single offensive snap for the Dolphins. His experiment in Miami ends with two catches for 20 yards after being reinstated by the NFL. We don't expect many suitors to take a chance on Callaway until the final wave of free agency this offseason.

Callaway was added to the roster this week after serving two suspensions. The Palm Beach Post's Joe Schad expects him to "get a shot to fill some of the void left by Preston Williams" in his debut. Callaway, Jakeem Grant, Mack Hollins, and Malcolm Perry are competing for targets behind DeVante Parker.
