Hayden Hurst
2024 Player Outlook
Hayden Hurst had a scary 2023 after a head injury led to post-traumatic amnesia which landed him on season-ending injured reserve. There was speculation on whether he would play again or not before he inevitably signed a contract with the Los Angeles Chargers. That reuinites him with former offensive coordinator Greg Roman as the prime pass-catching tight end candidate for Jim Harbaugh and Justin Herbert. Reports from early team activities have been good in terms of Hursts involvement in the passing game so he could be a sneaky late round pick in fantasy drafts if you miss out on upside early on. Donald Parham and Will Dissly are primarily inline blocking tight ends while Hurst has a lot more experience than Stone Smartt.
