Dolphins tendered LB Calvin Munson, CB Nik Needham, and CB Jamal Perry.
All were exclusive rights free agents. Needham in particular will collect $850,000 in 2021. Munson primarily played on special teams last year, registering a career-high 220 snaps (49%) with that unit.
Dolphins removed LB Calvin Munson from the team's non-football injury list.
Munson played two games for Miami last season after starting his career in 2017 with the Giants. The team didn't disclose Munson's injury.
Munson signed a contract with the Dolphins on Tuesday, Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com reports.
Munson has been on the Patriots' practice squad since failing to crack the season-opening roster, but he'll now receive another opportunity within the AFC East. The 24-year-old hasn't seen game action since playing 14 games with the Giants as a rookie in 2017.
Munson (concussion) was waived by the Giants on Saturday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic New York reports.
Munson had a decent rookie season in 2017 as an undrafted free agent, but it looks like a hit to the head in the Giants' preseason win over the Lions derailed the linebacker's chances of making the final roster again this year.
