Colts agreed to terms with P Rigoberto Sanchez.
Sanchez missed all of the 2022 season because of a torn Achilles’ but returned to action in 2023. He finished the season ranked ninth in net yards per punt and was the only punter with more than eight attempts to not have a single touchback. Sanchez has previously handled kickoff duties for Indy, though Matt Gay took over that job in 2023 and will hold onto it for the upcoming season.

Sanchez, the punter of all people, was running gassers at the end of practice and popped his Achilles' tendon. The Colts' punter for the last five seasons, Sanchez was near the bottom of the league in net average last season. He's also the holder.
Colts punter Rigoberto Sanchez will undergo surgery to remove a cancerous tumor.
Sanchez released a statement Monday morning saying he will "miss some time" after the surgery. Sanchez is 11th in average yards per punt and 12th in punts inside the 20 yard line. The Colts will likely work out replacement punters this week.
Sanchez punted five times for 232 yards during Sunday's 15-13 win over the Broncos.
Sanchez has reliably provided the Colts with favorable field position all season. He averaged 42 net punting yards during the Week 8 win, while also pinning two punts within the 20-yard line.
