Giants signed DT Jeremiah Ledbetter, formerly of the Jaguars, to a one-year, $1.775 million contract.
Ledbetter racked up a career-high 31 tackles in his sixth NFL season last year, adding eight quarterback pressures and two sacks. Ledbetter should perform well, with offenses focusing on Dexter Lawrence in New York.
Ledbetter was released from the Ravens' practice squad Monday, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Ledbetter continues his struggle to find a permanent home in the league, as he will look for his fourth home in three seasons. The former sixth-round pick did not play in a single contest for the Ravens this season.
Ledbetter (ankle) tried out for the Browns on Monday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Ledbetter hit waivers after he was waived from the Buccaneers with an injury settlement, and appears fully healthy. The 2017 sixth-round pick is in search of a depth role elsewhere around the league.
The Buccaneers waived Ledbetter (ankle) with an injury settlement Wednesday, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Ledbetter is expected to clear waivers, and he'll be free to sign with another squad once he's healthy. The third-year pro will look for a special-teams role.
