Player News
The Patriots placed Dielman on their reserve/retired list Monday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Dielman bounced around the league since initially being drafted by Cincinnati in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, spending time with the Rams and Broncos in addition to the Seahawks' practice squad. He now opts to retire without having appeared in an NFL game.
Dielman signed a contract with the Patriots on Friday, Doug Kyed of NESN.com reports.
Dielman was originally drafted by Cincinnati in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft after starting in 31 consecutive games for Utah. Since then, the 25-year-old has bounced around the league, appearing on the practice squads of the Bengals, Seahawks and Rams in addition to being on the Rams' and Broncos' active rosters. Dielman has yet to make his regular-season NFL debut.
Dielman was placed on the Rams' practice squad injured list Saturday with an undisclosed injury, per the NFL's official transaction log.
Dielman was waived off injured reserve by the Broncos in early September before heading to Los Angeles. Kyle Murphy was signed to take his place on practice squad.
