Dolphins agreed to terms with S Clayton Fejedelem, formerly of the Bengals, on a three-year contract.
Fejedelem, 27 in June, played just 111 snaps for the Bengals on defense last year and isn't being viewed as a starter in Miami. His main contributions will be on special teams chasing down kicks and punts.
Fejedelem (ankle) will play in Sunday's game against the 49ers, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.
The depth safety spent much of the preseason nursing the ankle injury, and it's forced him to miss practice time during the regular season. Now that Fejedelem is officially active for Week 2, he's expected to slot into his normal depth role behind Brandon Wilson as the team's reserve safety.
Fejedelem (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against San Francisco.
Fejedelem was limited in practice each day this week. If the 26-year-old can't suit up Sunday, Brandon Wilson would be left as the Bengals' only reserve safety.
Fejedelem (ankle) practiced in full Wednesday, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.
Fejedelem spent much of the preseason nursing an ankle injury suffered during an exhibition match against the Chiefs, and he now looks back to full health. The 26-year-old projects to provide the Bengals' with depth in the secondary while contributing on special teams.
