ESPN's Todd Archer reports that Cowboys LB Devante Bond suffered a serious knee injury at OTAs and will miss the season once he undergoes surgery.
Bond didn't appear in a regular season game last season, but played in 34 games from 2017-2020, mostly as a special teams player. The Cowboys might look to bring in additional depth at the position for training camp.
Bond has re-signed with the Bears on a one-year contract ahead of the 2020 season, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Bond was suspended for four games last season after testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance. He ended up recording just three solo tackles in seven games with the team. He will now set his sights on earning a bigger role heading into the upcoming season.
Bond signed a contract with the Bears on Monday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Bond was suspended four games for testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance earlier in the season, after he was cut by Tampa Bay. The 26-year-old has suited up in 29 games in his NFL career and logged 39 tackles (31 solo).
Bond has been suspended for four games after testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
Bond had just been cut by the Buccaneers three days ago and perhaps this explains why. The 26-year-old will have to sign with another team before he can start serving the suspension.
