Dolphins released CB Mackensie Alexander with an injury settlement.

Alexander quickly landed on injured reserve after signing with Miami in mid-August. This settlement suggests he is at or near full health. Alexander is coming off a rough season, but he could land with a corner needy team.

Dolphins signed CB Mackenzie Alexander to a one-year contract.

Alexander was toasted in 2021, finishing the year with a 41.1 PFF coverage rating in 495 coverage snaps. But he has generally been better than that throughout his career and is a fine depth signing in reaction to the Trill Williams ACL injury. Alexander will probably not see major snaps without more injuries ahead of him.

Vikings signed CB Mackensie Alexander, formerly of the Bengals.

Alexander spent his first four seasons in Minnesota before spending the 2020 season in Cincinnati. After one shaky year, he's back with the Vikings and projects as their starting slot corner. This is a win-win for both parties. Alexander can regroup before the salary cap expands next offseason, and the Vikings' young secondary gets a veteran in the locker room.

All charges against Bengals CB Mackensie Alexander related to an August battery incident have been dismissed.

Alexander left training camp in August after his father was reported missing. Alexander allegedly confronted the man who left his father behind on a berry-picking trip. His father was eventually found. Alexander signed with the Bengals in March 2020. ESPN's Ben Baby expects him to walk in free agency.
