Mike Davis was held without a touch in the Ravens' Week 3 win over the Patriots.
J.K. Dobbins made his long-awaited return in this one, leaving little work for Davis, who worked behind both Dobbins and Justice Hill on the afternoon. Those stubbornly holding on to Davis through the first two weeks can officially drop him after this week. On the season, he's managed just 15 yards on seven carries.
Mike Davis had five rushes for four yards in the Ravens' Week 2 loss to the Dolphins.
Davis was his usual inefficient self against the Dolphins, getting stuffed twice at the goal line in a catastrophic series for the Ravens that ended up with no points. There's no earthly reason Davis should see touches over Kenyan Drake or Justice Hill. He shouldn't be rostered in fantasy leagues.
Mike Davis had two rushes for 11 yards in the Ravens' Week 1 win against the Jets.
Davis, one of the least efficient runners of 2021, played well behind the newly acquired Kenyan Drake in Week 1. It's clear Davis will be third in the backfield pecking order when J.K. Dobbins (ACL) returns to the lineup. Davis should remain on the waiver wire for now.
Ravens OC Greg Roman said that Baltimore would go with the "hot hand" at running back in Week 1.
He complimented the work that Kenyan Drake has done since coming over as well. Even if JK Dobbins is cleared, it seems likely he won't play enough snaps to do more than be a touchdown-or-bust FLEX play. Roman noted he has a role for every back on the roster, and invoking the "hot hand" addendum here makes it harder to want to start any of Baltimore's backs, even in what could be a plum matchup against the Jets.
