Steelers signed Karlos Williams to a reserve/future contract.

Karlos Williams, when not suspended and when in shape, was an excellent NFL running back. The Steelers are hoping that they can whip him back into shape during this offseason, while he will start out 2017 serving the final four games on his substance abuse suspension. A lot is going against him, but at least he's getting another shot.

Karlos Williams was suspended 10 games for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

After looking impressive as a rookie in Buffalo, where he scored nine touchdowns, Williams is close to being completely out of the league. This makes his second suspension in as many pro seasons, and he figures to have a tough climb back to have any significant role for a team once his ten games are served.

Steelers sign former Buffalo Bills RB Karlos Williams to the practice squad.

Karlos Williams' suspension ended in Week 5 and multiple teams have worked him out including his former team the Buffalo Bills. The Steelers brought him in for a visit back in August after he was let go by the Bills. Pittsburgh knows the injury history of Le'Veon Bell and the age of DeAngelo Williams, so this looks like the Steelers planning for next year and and grooming Karlos to be their future back up for running back.

Bills have canceled their scheduled workout with Karlos Williams.

After an earlier report said that the Bills were going to workout Williams, they've abruptly changed their minds. Williams was suspended earlier this year -- the second time in two years -- and then cut by the Bills. What's next for Williams is likely going to be on everyone's minds.
