Will Blackmon
Player News
Will Blackmon expects to play Week 10 following a thumb procedure.
Maybe Blackmon can actually play defense without committing a penalty on every play, because none of Washington's other cornerbacks appear to be capable of doing so. Even if Blackmon is unable to play, it is doubtful Sam Bradford is good enough to take advantage of his absence.
Will Blackmon (thumb surgery) is expected to return after the bye.
After leaving the game and returning later, it was shown that Blackmon had a fractured/dislocated thumb. With the Redskins getting the bye, expect Blackmon to playing in Week 10.
Will Blackmon fractured and dislocated his thumb in Week 8, but was able to return to the game against the Bengals.
He left the stadium with his thumb in a cast, but at least he was able to return to the game. With the Redskins bye week coming up, it'll be interesting to see Blackmon's level of participation in practice next week.
Former cornerback Will Blackmon has been playing exclusively at safety during the Redskins OTA's this past week.
Blackmon has been a cornerback for most of his 10-year career and is coming off of his best season yet. By practicing exclusively at safety, Blackmon is giving himself a better opportunity to make the 53-man roster as nothing is guaranteed at this point. He is coming off a season in which he recorded 38 tackles and two interceptions.
