Shamarko Thomas
Player News
Thomas won't return to Thursday's game against the Cardinals due to a hamstring injury, Zac Stevens of BSNDenver.com reports.
Thomas is on the bubble of making the 53-man roster, so this is an untimely injury. The severity of the issue is unknown.
Thomas (undisclosed) participated in Denver's June minicamp, Larry Rubama of The Daily Press reports.
Thomas was sidelined at OTAs in mid-May, but seems to have recovered well since then. The 28-year-old held a depth role for Denver last season, seeing 112 of his 131 regular-season snaps on special teams -- it'll likely be more of the same for Thomas this season.
Thomas (undisclosed) did not participate at Monday's OTA, Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic reports.
The reason behind Thomas being held out of practice has yet to be revealed, but there should be further information once Denver wraps up practice later Monday. He appeared in six games with the Broncos in 2018 and likely will have a depth role in the secondary once again this season.
Steelers defensive back Shamarko Thomas (groin) has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Thomas suffered a groin injury and will miss the rest of the game. He previously suffered a similar injury and was forced to miss 3 games. There's no word yet on the severity of his injury at this time. Robert Golden and Jordan Dangerfield are available to fill in at Strong Safety.
